Résumé : Livre
On the occasion of its 250th anniversary in 2022, the Champagne House Veuve Clicquot founded in 1772 is organizing a traveling exhibition “Solaire Culture”. A non-museal, immersive exhibition, “100% women” in the selection of creative talents and artists bringing it to life. This exhibition aims to establish a compelling dialog between past and present, interpreted through the eyes of contemporary female artists from around the world: Sheila Hicks, Monique Frydman, Tacita Dean... The exhibition will showcase the creative works specially commissioned for the occasion as well as the Maison’s archives.
The magazine/album narrates the main chapters of the House and takes readers on board the fascinating history of the House, its heritage, and that of Madame Clicquot (Barbe-Nicole Clicquot Ponsardin), a tireless optimist and an audacious trailblazer who revolutionized the world of champagne with three major innovations (including her method for storing bottles nose-down) after taking over the family business after the sudden death of her husband.
